Super Duty Appearance Packages Deliver Bold New Looks

After five years of the fourth generation Ford Super Duty, the fifth generation has arrived, and while the redesigned Super Duty is a marvel on its own with a modern, yet intimidating design, the heavy-duty pickup is available with four unique appearance packages that elevate its looks even further. Let’s take a look at the design-enhancing and capability-increasing features of the all-new Ford Super Duty packages.

Available with either one of the two new powertrains – a 7.3-liter gas-powered V8 or the 6.7-liter high-output Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel – the Tremor package helps the Super Duty to go beyond the road. The package is focused on performance with an electronic locking rear differential and off-road-tuned front and rear performance suspension. Massive 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac all-terrain tires add extra grip and contribute to the increased ride height to help the pickup navigate bumps and hills.

On the outside, the off-road package adds Tremor off-road badging, as well as off-road running boards. Underneath, skid plates add extra protection. Rounding out the package are selectable Rock Crawl and Trail Control drive modes which allow the performance of the Super Duty to adapt to its environment.

If you’re not familiar with the acronym, STX stands for Sports Truck Extreme – and the STX package lives up to its name with a few features that add a bit of style while ramping up the ruggedness. The package includes a painted grille set in between new LED exterior lighting, and gets clearly branded with a large STX fender vent badge. The bumpers in the front and back match the body color and the 18-inch wheels get an Ebony Black treatment. Lastly, the package includes a 360-degree camera for a bird’s-eye view.

Bold describes the extra few features that come from the Sport package, which comes complete with a dark painted grille, dark fender badges and a unique box-side decal. The package offers the option of 18 or 20-inch wheels, and adds a few other distinct touches, including body-color bumpers and mirror caps, as well as platform running boards and exhaust pipe tips dipped in chrome for a polished appearance.

As the name states, the Black Appearance Package adds touches of black from the front to the back. While the front and rear bumpers match the body color, the 20-inch aluminum wheels are coated in a rich Ebony Black, as are the running boards and the front grille. Wrapping up the package are black box-side decals that really help to set this special edition apart from the standard versions of the Super Duty.
