Chevy, Ford, GMC & Ram Work Trucks in Gainesville TX

No matter how hard you work, sometimes you need help to get the job done, and done right. And if there’s anything better than an extra set of hands, it’s an extra set of wheels. Here at Glenn Polk Auto, we offer a variety of work trucks and vans to assist with hauling, towing, delivery and more. With a laundry list of brands to choose from, you’ll find an extensive inventory of Chevy, Ford, GMC and Ram trucks – all of which offer unique capabilities that can cater to the exact line of work that you need.

1500, 2500 & 3500 Heavy Duty Work Trucks in Texas

Across each of the truck brands, there are varying levels of capability, which are segmented by number classes. For the Chevy, Ram and GMC lines, you’ll see the 1500, 2500 and 3500. The entry-level options are the 1500 segment, and power increases as you rise up to the 2500 and 3500. The naming convention does vary slightly for Ford, but just by a zero, as the blue oval offers the F-150, F-250 and F-350.

Diesel-Powered Work Pickup Trucks in Gainesville

If it’s towing or payload at the top of your wish list, you’ll want to set your sights on the 300 and 3,000 classes, all of which exceed 35,000 pounds in the towing department and over 7,000 in payload.

Beneath the hood of the Chevy Silverado 3500HD, Ford F-350, GMC Sierra 3500HD and Ram 3500, you will find at least two powertrain options. While a gas engine is standard equipment, a diesel engine is also available in the engine bay of these four heavy duty pickups. And with additional torque coming from the higher-output engines, if you’re after power, the diesel powertrains have just what you need.

Maximum torque for the Silverado 3500HD tops out at 910 lb-ft and rises to 1,050 lb-ft in the F-350 and 1,075 lb-ft in the Ram 3500. The difference is minimal and doesn’t significantly impact their abilities. For example, towing capacities are all within 2,000 pounds. The F-350 just breaks the 35K barrier with 35,750 pounds whereas the Silverado 3500HD hits a flat 36,000 and the Ram 3500 adds 1,000 more pounds yet for a total of 37,000 pounds. The payload for the three spans from 7,190 to 7,680 pounds.
