Back in 2018, Chevy unleashed the second generation edition of the Traverse, and after a solid six-year run, the SUV is getting a complete overhaul with a more rugged design that will come complete with a variety of new color options. While the release of the all-new 2024 Chevy Traverse isn’t scheduled to arrive until early 2024, we have caught wind of the mid-size SUV’s upcoming paint color options.
Chevy has announced that the new Traverse will be available in four different trim levels – LS, LT, Z71 and RS. And as with most models, the color options offered inside and out will vary based on the trim level you select. For the Traverse, the three trims on the higher end of the spectrum will offer as many as seven exterior paint colors and the base LS trim will shave three off for a total of four color choices.
Here are the exterior color options of the LS, as well as the LT, Z71 and RS, which will share swatches.
• Summit White
• Mosaic Black Metallic
• Sterling Gray Metallic
• Lakeshore Blue Metallic
• Iridescent Pearl Tricoat
• Summit White
• Mosaic Black Metallic
• Radiant Red Tintcoat
• Sterling Gray Metallic
• Harvest Bronze Metallic
• Lakeshore Blue Metallic
For the most part, the colors of the 2024 Chevy Traverse are consistent with the options available on the previous 2023 model. That includes fan favorites such as Summit White, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Mosaic Black Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic and Radiant Red Tintcoat. The newcomers include Harvest Bronze Metallic, which takes the place of the Black Cherry Metallic, as well as Lakeshore Blue Metallic, which is filling in for the Northsky Blue Metallic that was previously offered on the LT trim of the 2023 Traverse.
• LS: Jet Black Premium Cloth
• LT: Jet Black Premium Cloth, Jet Black Evotex, Jet Black/Gideon/Very Dark Atmosphere Premium Cloth
• Z71: Jet Black/Torch Red Evotex
• RS: Jet Black/Torch Red Perforated Leather-Appointed Seating
On the inside, there is a bit more variety among the trims. Black Premium Cloth is the exclusive option on the base LS, and is also standard on the LT. The LT, however, expands out the options with a second premium cloth choice. There is also an Evotex option, which is a fancy term for a synthetic leather-like material that is now found stretched over several Chevy seats. The leather-like Evotex is the sole choice in the Z71, and if you jump up to the RS, the seat covering gets a quality bump with perforated leather.
When compared to the colors of the previous 2023 model, the lighter “Chai” color option has been taken out of the mix, as has the darker “Maple Sugar” option. By sticking to the black and red color palettes, the interior of the new Traverse more closely mirrors the sporty, yet rugged exterior changes.
As mentioned, the release of the 2024 Chevy Traverse is scheduled to arrive in the early part of 2024, which means it won’t be long before you’ll be able to see the updated SUV sprayed in all the returning fan favorites, as well as the two new exterior colors, complete with the revised interior color options.
