2025 Ram 1500 REV Electric Pickup Specs & Features
What began as a concept car that promised “electrifying possibilities” is now becoming a reality. On the heels of the 100% electric-powered Ford F-150 Lightning and Chevy Silverado EV, Ram is staking its claim in the EV revolution with an electric-exclusive version of their popular Ram 1500. Officially branded the Ram 1500 REV – a clever play on the EV designation – the electrifying pickup is set to show that you don’t need gas or diesel to achieve big capabilities. Here’s what we know about the features to come.
2025 Ram 1500 REV Driving Range
Taking place of the gas tank will be a standard 168-kilowatt-hour battery pack that will drive power to the wheels of the REV. With the standard equipment, the pickup is expected to travel as far as 350 miles on a single charge. For those looking for a bit more longevity will find it in the available 229-kilowatt-hour battery pack, which adds an extra 150 miles to the range for a total estimated range of 500 miles.
2025 Ram 1500 Performance Specs
While the driving range numbers are certainly impressive, for those who aren’t as familiar with EVs, it can be difficult to put them into perspective. And that’s where it’s helpful to look at the power numbers to truly understand how impressive the performance specs of the Ram 1500 REV really are.
From what Ram has announced, the REV will be able to draw a maximum of 654 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque, which put its output above that of the gas-powered variety. That output is expected to bring a maximum payload of 2,700 pounds and a towing capacity of 14,000 pounds. When translated to speed, the REV will achieve a zero to 60 mph time of just 4.4 seconds – how’s that for a pickup truck?
2025 Ram 1500 Trim Level Options
One of the benefits of Ram pickups is that they have always come with several options, and the Ram 1500 REV will be no exception. The automaker has already announced that the EV pickup will get many of the familiar trims that Ram buyers have come to love. The lineup will consist of five available trim level options with fan favorites such as Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Limited, as well as a completely new addition that will be branded as the Tungsten trim. 2025 Ram 1500 REV U.S. Release Date
As the time of writing this post, Ram is targeting Q4 of 2024 for the official release date of the Ram 1500 REV electric pickup. And with an release scheduled toward the end of the year, the electric Ram will more than likely be released as a 2025 model, though we will be able to confirm as we get closer.
