2024 GMC Sierra Denali EV Electric Performance Specs & Features

Over the last year, there has been an electric wave sweeping the pickup segment. It started with the Ford F-150 Lightning, which was followed by news of the Chevy Silverado EV, both of which promised the same durability and power of the gas-powered varieties, but without the added emissions. And now, on the heels of those announcements, we are excited to share that there is another electrifying new offering that will be joining the ranks of the EV pickups: meet the 2024 GMC Sierra Denali EV.

Gas-loving skeptics will be sure to appreciate that the numbers GMC has rolled out so far are well beyond what you might expect for a truck that plugs into the wall. Here are some of the highlights:

•    754 horsepower
•    785 lb-ft of torque
•    0 to 60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds
•    Max trailering up to 9,500 pounds
•    GM-estimated 400-mile driving range
•    100-mile charge in 10 minutes (DC public fast charger)
•    Super Cruise driver assistance technology

GMC Sierra Denali EV Horsepower, Torque & Towing

The Sierra Denali EV will be built on the reliable Ultium platform that is finding its way into many of the GM electric vehicles. This system prioritizes power, but also balances strength with efficiency, ensuring that you can get more out of every charge. In terms of power output, the Sierra Denali EV is expected to push out as much as 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque, which nearly doubles the output of other gas-powered pickup trucks on the market. It’s proof of exactly what electric vehicles are capable of.

These numbers help to provide the Sierra Denali EV with plenty of get-up to the tune of a zero-to-sixty time that is just shy of 4.5 seconds. Speed, check. On the back end, the Sierra Denali EV has the ability to tow as much as 9,500 pounds, making it ideal for weekend warriors who simply need a practical hauler for those trips to the department store, as well as those who need to haul a bit more behind the back.

Will the GMC Sierra Denali EV Offer Super Cruise?

General Motors’ Super Cruise driver assistance technology brings hands-free driving capabilities to over 400,000 miles of roads across the U.S. and Canada. And it has become apparent that the automaker is prioritizing the Super Cruise technology in just about every single one of their new electric vehicles. So it’s no surprise that the GMC Sierra Denali EV will also offer the ability to deliver hands-free driving.

GMC Sierra Denali EV Release Date

According to GMC, the electrified Denali EV will be arriving at dealerships across the U.S. early in 2024, which means we’re not far off from getting the 2024 GMC Sierra Denali in Gainesville.
