2024 Ram 1500 Engine Performance
Similar to competitor pickups in the segment, the Ram 1500 includes a variety of engine options – three to be specific. The trio includes a single six-cylinder option, as well as two power-hungry V8s. Power output ranges from 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque for the V6, all the way up to 702 horses and 650 lb-ft of torque for the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that is offered exclusively in the TRX version. In the middle is a 5.7-liter V8 that tops out at 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.
What’s unique about the Ram 1500 is that it offers the ability to add electricity into the mix through a unique eTorque system, a mild hybrid system that not only ticks power up a few notches, but helps to bring up fuel efficiency while simultaneously smoothing out the ride.
