The GMC Acadia is all new for the 2024 model year, and the popular mid-size SUV is bigger and better than ever before with a longer wheelbase and added height that expands the cabin to allow for more cargo capacity than ever before. In addition, the 2024 GMC Acadia has swapped the V6 engine of the past with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that shells out V6-like power while maximizing fuel efficiency. There are plenty of enhancements that will set the all-new Acadia apart from the rest.

The most notable change to the 2024 is its size. In terms of length, the Acadia gets an additional 10.6 inches across the wheelbase and it also adds 3.2 inches of height. While it may not seem like much, it adds a significant amount of space to the inside, allowing you to comfortably seat 7 or 8 passengers depending on whether you opt for the second-row bench seat or captain’s chairs. And with the back seats folded down, the 2024 Acadia has 24% more cargo capacity over the 2023 model, making it easy to haul even more. While still classified as a mid-size SUV, the 2024 Acadia offers full-size capabilities.
In the engine department, there is a single powertrain that propels the SUV down the road. The turbo-four engine is capable of shelling out as much as 328 horsepower, which is 18 horses more than the V6 engine that was previously found in the nose of the Acadia. The four-cylinder comes paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and while front-wheel drive comes standard, all-wheel drive is also available for added traction. It’s one of many safety-enhancing features you’ll get with the mid-size SUV.
Standard in all trims of the Acadia – Elevation, Elevation Premium, AT4 and Denali – are 15 safety and driver-assistance features that add a whole new level of safety while also making every drive more convenient for you. That includes everything from Blind Zone Steering Assist, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Reverse Automatic Braking, and Traffic Sign Recognition to the new Super Cruise driver-assist technology that gives you the ability to drive completely hands free.
With a larger cabin wrapped in an all-new sporty and stylish design, as well as plenty of technology that is easily accessible through the 15-inch infotainment screen tacked onto the front dash, the all-new 2024 GMC Acadia has plenty of exciting features to offer Gainesville-area SUV buyers who are looking to purchase a safe, spacious and efficient ride for a wide variety of needs.
