What’s important to know about the Bronco is that it offers two varieties – the standard Bronco and the Bronco Sport. While similar, the latter of the two is slightly smaller, but the baby Bronco still packs quite the punch with an available turbocharged four-cylinder engine and plenty of off-road capability. The turbo four tops out at 245 horsepower, a good deal more than the 181-horsepower three-cylinder engine, which comes as standard equipment in the nose of the Bronco Sport. However, whether you opt for three of four cylinders, you’ll have access to the impressive torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system.

If it’s off-road capability that you’re after, you’ll find it in the higher-end Badlands trim (one of 5 available trim level options), which comes standard with the turbo four and a more refined version of the AWD system, but also adds a lifted suspension and upgraded dampers for more rugged terrain. The Badlands also comes equipped with a twin-clutch rear-drive unit with a differential lock, as well as all-terrain tires wrapped around 17-inch wheels. It all makes the Badlands ready to take on anything.

As with many of the other Blue Oval offerings, the Ford Bronco Sport offers up a variety of design and performance-enhancing packages that allow you to customize it to your liking. That includes a Black Diamond off-road package, as well as the all-new Free Wheeling model that pulls retro design cues from the colorful appearance package of the late ’70s Bronco and offers 17-inch wheels with red accents, a silver painted grille and reflective body graphics. A blacked-out appearance package is also available.
