What sets the Ram 1500 apart is its ability to cater to a wide variety of needs. While its power and capability are common threads through all of the trims, performance and features can be tweaked to ramp up the abilities of the Ram 1500 where you need it most. Thankfully, there are eight unique trim options that help to do a lot of the feature selection for you. It starts with the entry level Limited trim and moves all the way up through the off-road-ready Rebel to the power-hungry, 700-horse TRX trim.

Across all eight of the trims are four engine options – two with six cylinders and two with eight. The V8 options are both naturally aspirated, or gas powered. The supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 is exclusive to the TRX trim, and is capable of a chart-topping output that includes 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, giving the pickup a 4.5-second 0 to 60 time and the ability to hit a top speed of 118 mph. The more traditional 5.7-liter HEMI V8 produces a more modest, but impressive 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, which is responsible for the maximum 12,750-pound towing capacity highlighted above.

If you opt for the EcoDiesel, you’ll see a jump in torque – maxing out at 480 lb-ft – as well as an increase in driving range. The diesel-powered Ram 1500 offers the longest 4x4 highway driving range in its class with 950 miles possible on a single tank. To boot, the diesel engine can haul up to 9,600 pounds.

Beyond strength, the 2023 Ram 1500 delivers a roomy and nearly silent interior with loads of technology to help you navigate the roads and to make hauling even easier. That includes an available 12-inch digital instrument panel to give the dashboard a more modern look. There is also an optional in-inch touchscreen in the center of the dash to help you control everything from music to navigation.
