The Mach-E is made available in four different trim options, including the entry-level Select, as well as the Premium, GT and California Route 1. Styling changes are among the most noticeable differences, but there are also some changes made to the combinations of batteries and motors that make it possible to fine tune everything from power output to charging times and driving ranges.

The Mach-E is available as both a RWD and a 4WD. The former leverages a single motor, whereas the latter bolts an additional motor onto the front axle to more effectively distribute power to all four tires for added traction and a boost of power. That power peaks in the GT, which is capable of shelling out as much as 480 and 643 lb-ft of torque. It’s enough to get it from 0 to 60 in just 3.5 seconds. With numbers like those, it’s easy to understand exactly why this all-electric SUV was worthy of the Mustang title.

Options are also available with the battery. There is a Standard Range, 70 kWh battery, and an Extended Range, 91 kWh battery. The driving ranges depend mainly on the battery and drivetrain (RWD vs eAWD) you select. Even at the lower end, the Mach-E can stretch a charge up to 247 miles in the Select trim. The range peaks in the newest addition to the lineup, the California Route 1, which goes up to 312 miles.

Inside, the Mach-E offers a full suite of technology features wrapped in a spacious and comfortable cabin that provides seats for as many as five passengers. Anchoring it all is a 15.5-inch touchscreen that gives you control over everything from climate control to remaining charge and performance. For an added touch of convenience, the Mach-E is also made available with Ford BlueCruise, the blue oval’s latest driver assistance system that gives you the ability to drive fully hands free on certain highways.
